The film corpo à luz, made with photographic artist and filmmaker Angus Scott, acts as a moving portrait of myself as a photographic artist.
The film positions my autobiographical practice, which explores my experiences as a Brazilian migrant in Australia in tandem with my experiences of womanhood and (in)fertility, into the context of making work that is both political and cathartic.
With this collaboration, Angus and I hope to have a role in contributing to public discourses centred on the underrepresentation of infertility issues by offering my personal perspective on a shared experience of womanhood and its possible nuances.
